What is Crystal Healing?
Crystal healing is a holistic and natural therapy that taps into the energetic power of crystals and how they affect the body and mind. Crystals and other stones are used to cure ailments and protect against disease. Crystals act as conduits for healing — allowing positive, healing energy to flow into the body as negative, disease-causing energy flows out.
While reiki is a gift of universal energy, crystal healing energy can be seen as a gift from the Earth. Crystal healing works to stimulate the body’s energy flow to restore balance and help the body heal itself on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. It helps to remove blockages or disharmony within the energetic body which often manifest as physical or emotional illnesses or imbalances.
Crystal healing is an ancient practice, dating back at least 6,000 years to the time of the ancient Sumerians of Mesopotamia. Ancient Egyptians were also among the first people to have adorned themselves with crystals — including lapis lazuli, carnelian and turquoise — to ward off illness and negative energy.

How Does Crystal Healing Work?
Crystal healing is an energy-based system. We are all made up of different energies and when this becomes stagnant, unbalanced or blocked, it can cause illness. Crystals help unblock, balance and direct energy where it is most needed, gently supporting the body to heal in a therapeutic way.
Different types of crystals have different properties and energies. Just holding and being near crystals can affect our own energies on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. Crystal healers have extensive knowledge of the different stones and how they affect us so they are able to best use them in healing sessions.
First the aura is scanned and any blockages are removed and healed, followed by crystals being placed along the main energy chakras including the formation of crystal grids where needed, and finally the chakras are balanced while the crystals do their work. I use a dowsing pendulum to help them determine where the crystals should go based on your body’s energetic needs. You are fully clothed throughout the whole treatment and can just lie back and relax!
Some of my clients report feeling sensations (a warmth or tingle) while others feel nothing. Don’t worry if you don’t feel anything, this doesn’t mean your energies haven’t been affected. Some people say they feel a difference in themselves immediately, for others it takes longer for the healing to take effect.
